Meltdown Goods

I live in Grey Lynn, Auckland. I love how chill and grounded it feels around here, it's close to everything but just far away enough that I don't feel completely swallowed by the city.

I make candles using pure coconut wax and custom blended fragrances. I've always toyed with the idea of getting into home fragrance ever since I worked in a department store back in the day. When the Covid lockdowns hit I wanted to put my time and energy into something so Meltdown was born.

My favourite things about what I do? I love the testing phase - trying various fragrance profiles out and coming up with elaborate spreadsheets to determine the recipes for everything. - Richard Symons, Meltdown Goods
