Botanical Skincare

I live in sunny rural Nelson, the beautiful Moutere area to be exact.  Well known for its artists and award-winning vineyards. I love living here because it has everything anyone could want - beaches, rivers, mountains, vineyards, sunshine and more. Bliss.

I design, create and make a range of different products from skincare to soap and of course the very popular bath bombs. Every bath bomb is hand made and sewn on site by myself or my staff member, Rachel. You'll find me in my studio most evenings packing orders, making bath bombs or labelling jars. 

I love all things that smell great, especially rose, lavender, jasmine and my all-time favourite essential oil at the moment - kanuka - can't get enough! These inspire me greatly when designing products. I grew up in the country and my family are very keen gardeners. My grandmother had an amazing rose garden, she bred roses and even featured on the Maggie Barry Garden Show for her stunning two-acre meadow garden. She had a huge array of herbs from traditional lavender through to lemon balm and chamomile. Every day I work with these herbs and essential oils and they always remind me of my amazing childhood.

Every ingredient used in our formulations have been extensively researched for its function and purpose. We believe that skincare is a very personal thing, some like the scent, others will like the feel and we all want it to have a function, so we work hard to incorporate all of these things to make your experience just that little bit more indulgent. All of our products are created in small batches to ensure quality and freshness and we don't test on animals. - Amy Burke, Botanical Skincare
